How it works
Step 1
Press the hotkey

Hit Ctrl+Alt+W (or your own shortcut) from anywhere — a small overlay shows it's listening.

Step 2
Just talk

Speak naturally. A live waveform confirms it hears you. Press again to stop.

Step 3
Text appears

Your words are transcribed on-device and pasted straight at your cursor — in any app.

What you get
100% private

Audio is transcribed locally with Whisper and never leaves your PC. No account, no cloud, no telemetry.

Works everywhere

A global hotkey drops text into any application — editor, browser, chat, email, terminal.

Fast & flexible

Runs on CPU or an auto-detected NVIDIA GPU. Pick any Whisper model from tiny to large-v3-turbo.

Optional AI polish

A lightweight local model (Qwen / Llama / Gemma) can clean up punctuation, casing and filler words.

Toggle or push-to-talk

Tap to start/stop, or hold to talk. Whatever fits how you dictate.

Free, no limits

Free for personal use with no subscriptions and no usage caps. Open source on GitHub.

System requirements

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)

A microphone

No administrator rights needed to install

NVIDIA GPU optional — speeds things up, but CPU works fine
